作者简介亨利·罗杰斯，加拿大多伦多大学语言学与人类学系的教授，致力于语音学和文字系统的研究。除了《文字系统：语言学的方法》之外，还著有《语言的声音：语音学导论》（Sounds of Language: An Introduction to Phonetics 2000年）、《理论语音学和实用语音学》（Theoretical and Practical Phonetics 1990年）等书。
孙亚楠，女，山东济宁人，人类学博士。博士毕业于中央民族大学民族学与社会学学院，现任教于青岛大学公共外语教育学院。研究兴趣主要集中英语作为第二语言的写作（SLW）研究，翻译理论与实践，族群文化。
