作者简介

杜鲁门·卡波蒂（Truman Capote）一九二四年九月三十日生于美国新奥尔良。一九四八年第一部长篇小说《别的声音，别的房间》的出版为他赢得国际声誉，此后的创作使他成为战后美国文坛最为著名的作家之一。他两度荣获欧·亨利短篇小说奖，是美国艺术与文学院院士。卡波蒂的其他重要作品包括小说《草竖琴》、《蒂凡尼的早餐》以及“非虚构小说”《冷血》。一九八四年八月二十五日病逝于洛杉矶。
