作者简介威廉·福克纳(1897—1962)
美国文学史上具有影响力的作家之一,意识流文学的代表人物。
福克纳以小说创作闻名于世,他一生共写了19部长篇小说与120多篇短篇小说,其中15部长篇与绝大多数短篇的故事都发生在他虚构的约克纳帕塔法县,称为“约克纳帕塔法世系”。1949年因“他对当代美国小说做出了强有力的和艺术上无与伦比的贡献”获得诺贝尔文学奖。主要作品有《喧哗与骚动》《我弥留之际》《圣殿》《押沙龙,押沙龙!》《去吧,摩西》等。
李文俊(193— )
著名翻译家,社科院荣誉学部委员,“翻译文化终身成就奖”得主。
长期致力于译介英美文学作品,尤以翻译和介绍福克纳用力蕞多,成就蕞卓著。
1994年获中美文学交流奖,2011年荣获“翻译文化终身成就奖”,多次获得全国外国文学出版奖。
