作者简介高罗佩（1910—1967），荷兰外交官，著名汉学家，先后在荷兰驻日本、中国、印度、马来西亚等国的使馆工作，精通多种欧亚语言，是中西文化交流史上的传奇人物。他曾评价自己一身三任：外交官是他的职业，汉学是他的终身事业，写小说是他的业余爱好。代表作有《琴道》《秘戏图考》《中国古代房内考》等，而大型推理探案小说系列“大唐狄公案”在东西方读者中影响巨大。
