让·梯若尔（Jean Tirole）教授，是世界著名的经济学大师（1990－2000年世界经济学家排名第二），梯若尔1953年8月9日出生在法国巴黎附近的一个小镇，1976年，他以优异的成绩毕业于素有法国科学家摇篮之称的法国理工学院。1978年，在获得巴黎第九大学应用数学博士学位后，对经济学兴趣油生，他来到著名的美国麻省理工学院继续深造，并于1981年获得经济学博士学位。现担任法国图卢兹大学产业经济研究所科研所长，同时在巴黎大学， 麻省理工学院担任兼职教授，并先后在哈佛大学、斯坦福大学担任客座教授。1984年至今担任计量经济学（Econometrica）杂志副主编。 同时还是普纳思经济管理研究院学术委员。
