作者简介维尔纳·桑巴特，Werner Sombart (1863～1941)，德国经济学家、社会学家。1863年1月19日生于德国埃姆斯勒本的富裕的中产阶级家庭，1882年起在华河大学和柏林大学学习法律和经验，1888年获得柏林大学博士学位，后留学意大利。1888—1890年任布莱门商会会长，1890年-1906年任布莱斯劳大学副教授（经济学特别教职），在这里，桑巴特开始了资本主义和社会主义问题的研究，并取得了丰富的成果。 1906年，在完成《为什么美国没有社会主义》一书后不久，他离开了布列斯劳大学，来到柏林商业大学，并在那里获得教授职位。1918年任柏林大学教授。1931年他成为荣誉退休教授，结束了正式的学术生涯。1941年5月18日卒于柏林。桑巴特曾与马克斯·韦伯、费迪南·滕尼斯共同创立德国社会学学会，并合办了《社会科学与社会政策》杂志。桑巴特一生著述甚...
