作者简介K.J.帕克为英国作家汤姆·霍尔特（Tom Holt）发表奇幻小说时用的笔名。
汤姆·霍尔特出生于伦敦，毕业于牛津大学瓦德汗学院。曾为律师，现在定居英格兰南部经营自己的农庄。平日喜欢冶金、锻工、木工等原始手工劳作，并对钱币收集、军事研究、中世纪城市规划等学术研究广有涉猎。
作家自1987年开始发表作品，在以本名发表历史小说的同时，以K.J.帕克为笔名发表奇幻小说。而K.J.帕克的真实身份一直保密到2015年才正式公开。
作家迄今已经用K.J.帕克的笔名出版20余篇奇幻小说，多次获得世界奇幻奖。作品风格独树一帜，对话风趣幽默，深受读者喜爱。
