作者简介特蕾茜·K.史密斯 Tracy K. Smith，出生于1972年。首部诗集《身体的问题》（2003年）赢得2002年度“小心恶犬诗歌奖”；2005年，史密斯被授予2004年度“罗纳？谢斐作家奖”和“鳕鱼奖”；诗集《魔力》（2007）荣获2006年度美国诗人学会“詹姆斯？劳克林奖”和“精华文学奖”；诗集《火星生活》2011年出版后好评如潮，被评为“纽约时报名著”。这部诗集包括如阿瑟？克拉克和大卫？鲍伊，以及部分为她已故的父亲——一位在哈勃太空望远镜工作的工程师的挽歌献词等不同题材。2012年4月，史密斯凭借《火星生活》赢得美国普利策诗歌奖。2017年6月，史密斯成为美国桂冠诗人。
