作者简介缪丽尔•斯帕克（Muriel Spark，1918-2006）
英国著名女作家，出生在苏格兰爱丁堡，并在此完成学业。曾在两家杂志社担任编辑。斯帕克的创作领域很广，包括中长篇小说、短篇小说、舞台剧、诗歌、儿童作品、传记及文艺批评。获得过包括意大利文学奖、詹姆斯•特艾特•布雷克纪念奖、索尔•泰厄十字奖、英格兰T.S.艾略特奖等在内的多项文学奖。1978年她被选为美国文学艺术学会名誉会员，1988年又被选为法国文学艺术学会会员。
