作者简介

威廉·史代格(William Steig)1907年出生于纽约。作为一名富有成就的漫画家，史代格在61岁的时候才开始童书创作。《驴小弟变石头》一书获得了当年的考德科特奖，并为他赢得了全国性的声誉。

史代格在以后的创作中一直用人性化的动物来演绎故事，他和怀特、塞尔登一起为美国儿童文学建立了一个独特的传统。史代格的《小老鼠漂流记》、《帅狗杜明尼克》都已被翻译成中文并出版。
