Yet, despite China's recent dramatic entrance into global politics and economics, neither of these significant shifts has been fully analysed. 阎云翔，美国加州大学洛杉矶分校中国研究中心主任、文化人类学教授。阎云翔先生系著名学者张光直的学生，早年著作有《礼物的流动》，最近，他的英文专著《私人生活的变革：一个中国村庄里的爱情、家庭与亲密关系：1949～1999》获得美国著名的历史学学术著作奖-列文森奖。这是为纪念美国著名汉学家列文森而设立的，每年只颁发给两本亚洲研究专著的作者。阎云翔先生是第一位获此殊荣的华裔学者。
