作者简介阿摩司·奥兹（Amos Oz）,希伯来语作家，一九三九年出生于耶路撒冷。少年时曾在以色列集体农场“基布兹”生活，毕业于耶路撒冷希伯来大学，主修文学和哲学。一九六五年首次出版短篇小说集《胡狼嗥叫的地方》，至今已出版三十九本著作，如《何去何从》《我的米海尔》《爱与黑暗的故事》等十四部长篇小说、五部中短篇小说集以及论文集。一九九八年，以色列建国五十周年之际，奥兹获得以色列国家奖；二〇〇五年，获得歌德文化奖。作品被翻译成四十二种语言，包括阿拉伯语。
