作者简介雅克•勒高夫（Jacques Le Goff，1924—2014），法国著名历史学家，专长中世纪史，尤其是12—13世纪。勒高夫是年鉴学派第三代——“新史学”的代表人物之一，并曾于1972—1977年担任法国高等实践学院的院长。勒高夫的著作良多，代表作有《圣路易》《试谈 另一个中世纪》《中世纪的知识分子》《炼狱的诞生》《阿西西的圣方济各》等。
